DVRC Spring 2013

The DVRC Board of Directors chooses a charity for each meeting that we will support.  For the  spring conference we will be supporting victims of Super Storm Sandy.  A very worthy cause that is close to home.  Many of our members know someone who is directly impacted.

We will be sending out more details prior to the next meeting.  We will be collecting needed items from our entire membership to support these victims at our 30th anniversary.  Click here for a clip from one family describing the struggles they are dealing with many months later.  This is similar to what most are going through. With DVRC’s help we can make a difference!

Bring as much as you can. We will have a truck on site to take your items directly to the support center!  Fill up your SUV and get your company involved for donations!

DVRC Fall 2012
Coats for Chester: DVRC supported regional soccer organizations in their efforts to provide warmth to 3 shelters in the City of Chester. Clean and wearable coats for both children and adults were donated.

Move for Hunger: Works directly with moving companies around the country to donate food to local food banks. Transferee’s donate non perishable food items on the day of their move. You can provide a monetary contribution to this worthwhile charity during the meeting if you would like.

DVRC donated $750 to this worthy cause.

DVRC Past Charitable Events

DVRC Spring  2011 Charity

Given the recent number of worldwide natural disasters, the Charity Committee chose the American Red Cross for our Spring Conference charity donation.

Red Cross Regional Chapter Executive, Patrick Delaney, and Rob McCreary, Development Manager were present at the Conference to accept the donation.

Patrick and Rob provided a very informative overview of Red Cross services from First Aid & CPR training, care and support of our military and their families, and help to seniors through the Red Cross Lifeline personal emergency response program. Their Community Disaster Education training and emergency preparedness was presented to almost 9,000 of our friends and neighbors.

DVRC provided a $1,000 check in support of the American Red Cross and DVRC members attending the conference contributed an additional $335.00. DVRC agreed to match the contribution for a total donation of $1,670!

From this truth, it has built an effective food distribution program that annually links 8 million pounds of food with over 200 charitable food providers, such as, food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelters.
